  • This is an odd thing to bring up after having been away from this particular wiki for a couple of months, having ventured a couple others. However, I wanted to know if it was possible to apply for adminship for this wiki. Having picking up some interesting methods for adding new information and organization of pages, primarily how the Marvel Cinematic Universe construct themselves, I would like to believe there could be some methods to incorporate some of their elements here that could help maintain and even improve additions that help a bunch in the long run.

    • It's a time-honored tradition to copy a template and modify it to your liking, so feel free. I made two small adjustments to the template in your sandbox. I added colspan="2" to the header so it stretches all the way across, and width="20%" to the header on the first data row so it's much shorter. This width can be a percentage or a specific length. You can use inches, centimeters, pixels, ems, etc. for the width (1.5in, 3cm, 150px, etc.). Call your template with some test data (or the actual data) and see how you like it.

  • Hi Moviesign! My name is Mike from Fandom's Community Development Team! I noticed that the wiki is lacking in Season 2 content, so I've added the pages for the episodes. I would also like permission to revamp the main page with Season 2 content like updating the slider and adding the Season 2 trailer, as well as possibly a new background and wordmark. What do you think?

      User:Peazeract is the main content adjudicator around here, I just volunteer to help with templates and stuff, so I would get an okay from him before changing the main page.   • Hello again.

    About the Sense8 Font you added for all the infoboxes and all the categorized areas, I wanted to ask you how you did it? I have three computers and one of them has the font while the other two do not yet I am still able to see the font as titles within infoboxes and such. This is great!

    I just wanted to ask you how did you keep the Sense8 font within the wiki and able to be read for those who may not have the font because this idea is just great.

    • User:XD1 uploaded the font to the wiki and put in the necessary CSS code to use it. I don't know where the font came from, but it is fabulous to have it! It really helps make the wiki look unique. Everyone who visits the wiki should be able to see it. If you would like it used in other places, let me know.

  • Hello.

    I came up with a plan to try to get the wiki's pages to be more filled and more contain more pages. I was hoping you, me, and more to come, would be assigned to fill out info for certain characters so that the pages can contain more information and get rid of the stubs.

    We all can and should edit all the pages for characters and such. But right now, I was hoping more information can be filled out and to do that, neither one of us could really do it alone. So I was hoping we could be assigned to fill out in-depth information concerning characters and all other supporting characters, locations, and pages involving the characters that are part of the August 8 Cluster.

    So for example, if you wanted to fill in the page for Lito, you could add in the information on Lito's character and other characters concerning Lito and others of your choice. Once we are finished, we can look over our pages and make adjustments to match it with the character pages already present in the wiki.

    I was also wondering if we could change the character pages and make their Biography more like the page I created for Janet Marks. I think as of right now, I believe this page is complete until her possible reappearance for Season Two. For the Biography, I think it will be more stylish and more like actual character pages if we do not put in episode names for their section. I think it would be more prudent to have other names for their sections similar to the Janet Marks page. She appeared in multiple episode and I combined her information and actions present in the episodes together to make her page and I was wondering if you were alright with that style of character pages rather than episode names as sections?

    If you are interested in this idea, please let me know and may I know which characters you are interested in working on if you are interested?

    • I'm happy to support your vision for this wiki with templates and infoboxes, but most of my editing time is devoted to the Forgotten Realms wiki. I will contribute here and there, but can't really take on any more big projects.

      Wiki work does get overwhelming at times, but just try to do a little each day, or as often as you can, and the results will be evident. A wiki that has frequent activity will attract more people willing to pitch in, and I expect a surge of activity when season 2 comes out. You might also contact those people who wrote the original articles and ask if they would be willing to help organize the pages as you describe above. It can't hurt to ask. :)

    Once again, I praise you for the awesome templates and boxes you have made for this wiki! I cannot praise you enough as I could not have done all this alone if not at all. Thank you so very much.

    However, I recently added a new image for Bae Doona on her page and I can't see to adjust the image size to make it smaller even after I lowered the px on the editor on the wikia. I do not want to change any of your settings but can you tell me how we can manually adjust the image sizes for the templates that you have created since they are somewhat different than last time?

    You designed the templates in such a unique way, I do not want to tamper with them and cause an error. But can we adjust the templates where we can manually adjust the image sizes rather than having all images be one specific size for specific templates?

    I hope it is not too much trouble.

    • The new Portable Infoboxes are designed to look good on mobile devices and no longer allow you to adjust the size of individual images. Our options are 1) to make the infoboxes narrower, which will automatically shrink the image inside the box, or 2) shrink the image window inside the box, which will leave a grey border on the left and right sides of the image. Option #1 might require adjusting some other field widths or data to make it line up or line-break in the right place. Even though this might be a bit more work, I would prefer this option because I like the image filling the box without grey borders, but I leave it up to you—I'm just here to help. :) Option #2 is quick and easy. Both options will effect ALL infoboxes on the wiki. What would you like to do?

      Alright. We can leave the infoboxes as they are. I have plans for filling in much information and the table of contents will leave room for the infoboxes and still appear stylish.

      So yes. Lets leave them as they are until further notice.

    • I should have mentioned Option 3. I can make variations on the basic theme for particular infoboxes. This makes the CSS look a bit complicated, so I hesitated to mention it, but I have done it on the Forgotten Realms wiki. If you compare this with this, you can see the color scheme is different. So we can have different sizes, styles, etc. for a particular template if you wish. The drawback is that the CSS grows bigger and more complicated for each new variation.

    • The variations that I saw in the two pages you sent me look good.

      However, I think we should just stick with what we have for this wiki at the moment. Everything concerning the infoboxes look fantastic so far and my concern was only a minor issue that we can work around.

      So no problems at the moment. Lets just leave everything how it is and see if we truly need to adjust in the future.

    I just want to thank you and praise you for all the work you have done here. It is looking much better than what it was before you arrived and I don't think it would have been the same without your efforts. Thank you so much.

    I also want to apologize for my absence. Life has taken hold of me but I will be more available and be here to make this wiki the best it can be.

      Glad to hear you haven't fallen off the edge of the world. ;-) I have a few more things to fix up and then I think we will have a consistent look across the whole wiki. The {{Episode}} template is the biggest one—I'll probably get to it today or tomorrow. Let me know if you find something that doesn't look right or could look better.
