Admittedly, a lot happened in that finale that felt like there could have been more, if not better, development of the subplots and what's happened. I've spoiled myself in a few areas, but I found myself agree with a few of those things.
The polyamorous relationship between Rajan, Kala, and Wolfgang felt underdeveloped and weirdly constructed. For two seasons, we saw Kala confess to her god that she did not love the man she was soon to marry and found love in a man she only knew through a mysterious connection that, at first, she perceived as a naked demon that was tempting her. In Season Two, she was slowly given reasons why she could leave him: lying about what was going on with him, doing wrongs in the business they both worked at/for, and just generally acting stranger than he did before their marriage. She was so pumped to finally be with the one man she truly loved and in the finale, all it took was for her to confess her sensate status for her to sudenly have feelings for him? Not only that, I felt Rajan would, at least, feel uneasy "sharing" his love with another man with whom he barely knew from the get-go. I'm happy to see they're a thing though, but that was a poor example of polyamory.
Season Two also built up The Chairman of BPO to be this powerful deviant that was in support of killing off people for some project that Whispers was working on. I was definitely hoping to see what they were and what they're doing and the reasons behind. Instead, we get some old man that was being petty and wasn't all that evil. It felt like he was just there because "I want revenge on sensates for burning me" or whatever. Lila was more threatening; I would have accepted her as The Chairman over... that.
Continuing on Lila, she was pretty great in the finale! Sure, she popped up every once in a while throughout the second season, but she wasn't as clever or bold as she was in this! Already had her clustermates ready to carry out so much evil against the Aug 8 Cluster. Even while she died in that helicopter explosion, just watching her character work fast and quick like she did wants me to read more about her or see more of her. If Sense8 gets converted into a comic book or graphic novel or something and uses the same characters from the series, I hope to see Lila Facchini and her cluster continue to showcase their power dynamics and their goal for a "sensate kingdom."
Whispers was still Whispers, which isn't a bad thing. Despite being a prisoner by the Aug 8, he... is still hell-bent on taunting people and making them uneasy. He still used the same-old "I'm gonna kill Mrs. Gunnardottir, Will, and you're gonna feel it." He even tried to make Amanita feel inferior because she was human and tried to make Daniela feel inferior for being a woman in a mask. Neither of them gave him the satisfaction, and honestly, I would not have been mad had Dani killed him on the spot after her monologue. It was beautifully done, and I'm glad Lana (and others behind the scenes) implimented that scene into the finale.
AND I'll end this reply with the Aug 8 Cluster together. It was beautiful. It was nice to see, for example, Neets and Bug finally meeting the others, Felix meeting Capheus and Kala, Dani and Hernando still understanding the sensate thing, as Will is speaking to his clustermates, even Mun and the others were confused when Bodhi stepped in and called out to the Aug 8 Cluster midst their dinner party. It somewhat helped illustrate what sensates look like when they're visiting others or sharing.
I'd keep going, but this is already too long. I do wish to know how the subplots would have gone had the remaining three seasons were given to the Wachowskis.
